    Why process PDFs on your device

    Most online PDF sites upload your file to their servers, process it there and delete it later. That is fine for a menu, less so for a citizenship scan or a bank statement.

    • Files are read with your browser's File API and never sent over the network.
    • No account, no daily task limit and no watermark.
    • Merging, splitting and reordering copy pages without re-encoding, so quality is unchanged.
    • It keeps working on a slow connection once the page has loaded.

    Common questions

    Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

    No. Every tool on this page runs in your browser with the open-source pdf-lib and pdf.js libraries. Your files never leave your device, which makes it safe for contracts, bank statements and ID documents.

    Is there a file size or daily limit?

    There is no daily limit and no account. The practical limit is your device's memory: files of a few hundred pages work fine on a laptop. Very large scans may be slow on older phones.

    How do I merge PDF files?

    Open the Merge tab, add two or more PDFs, put them in order by dragging or with the arrows, check the page preview and click Merge PDFs. The pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and quality does not change.

    How do I extract or split pages from a PDF?

    Open Split, add a PDF and click the pages you want in the preview, or type them, for example 1-3, 5, 8-. You can also split it every N pages or into single pages, which downloads a ZIP of PDFs.

    How does compression work, and will my text stay selectable?

    Compression redraws every page as an image at a lower resolution, which shrinks scans and photo-heavy PDFs a lot. The trade-off is that text becomes part of the image and is no longer selectable, so keep the original for anything that needs searchable text. If the result is not smaller, nothing is downloaded.

    Can I convert JPG photos to a PDF?

    Yes. Open Images → PDF, add your photos in order, pick A4, Letter or the image size, and click Create PDF. It is handy for scanning documents with your phone camera.

    Can it open password-protected PDFs?

    No. Remove the password first, for example by opening the PDF with its password and printing it to a new PDF, then use the tools.
