About Sundar Gautam
I'm Sundar Gautam, a Senior React Developer and Team Lead from Kathmandu, Nepal. Since 2020 I've shipped products people use every day: Mercury 360, an AI-powered HR and recruitment ecosystem; Annapurna Art, an international online art marketplace; AITC Homes, an apartment and visitor management system with Flutter apps; and Bhavika Store, an Indian grocery store for customers in Hong Kong.
Today I lead a development team at AITC International in Bhaktapur, where I architect React and Next.js front ends, design Node.js APIs and ship cross-platform mobile apps with Flutter. I care about clean, modular code, performance (code splitting, lazy loading, memoization), and interfaces that feel fast on every device.
Outside client work I build for Nepal. NepalPremierLeague.site gives cricket fans NPL live scores, fixtures and the points table and draws 400+ visitors a day during the season. Dashain Games puts nine traditional Nepali card, board and dice games in the browser, free and offline-ready. I've also taught React.js to 15+ students and write about web development on Medium.
What I focus on
-
01
React & Next.js architecture
Component design, routing, server rendering and state that stays understandable. Redux or Zustand, depending on the problem.
-
02
Performance
Code splitting, lazy loading, memoization and keeping Core Web Vitals green on real, mid-range phones.
-
03
Full-stack delivery
Node.js REST and WebSocket APIs backed by MongoDB or PostgreSQL, so a feature can ship end to end.
-
04
Leading teams
Planning, honest estimates, code review and mentoring. The goal is a team that ships without me in every thread.
Outside of client work
I enjoy teaching and writing about the web, and I post the occasional article on Medium.
